Santa Ana : Democratic National Chairman to Be Guest

Democratic National Committee Chairman Ron Brown will be the special guest Friday at the grand opening of the new Orange County Democratic Party headquarters.
The event will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the headquarters, 207 W. 2nd St., Suite A, Santa Ana. Admission is free.
Orange County Democratic Party Chairman Mike Balmages said that Brown’s attendance at the event is a signal that “we intend to be competitive in this county” and that the new headquarters is “a break with the politics of losing.”
Democrats hold only one legislative district--and no congressional districts--in Orange County, which is overwhelmingly Republican.
