LOCAL : Driver Dies in Ventura Blvd. Crash

A North Hollywood man was killed this morning when he lost control of his car and crashed into a tree along Ventura Boulevard, Los Angeles police reported.
Francisco Jiminez, 59, may have had a heart attack before the 5:30 a.m. accident that occurred when his westbound car veered to the right and into a tree in the 12700 block of Ventura Boulevard in Studio City, police said. Jiminez was taken to American Medical Institution Hospital of North Hollywood where he was pronounced dead. The accident is under investigation.
