Life in the Wild

Regarding Kevin Brass’ article on the San Diego Wild Animal Park in the Summer Splash pages May 28: It’s apparent he has a misconception of what the park is. The park was built for the preservation and captive breeding of rare and endangered animals.
Brass seems to have been expecting a circus. Of course the animals “don’t exactly rush to greet” the monorail riders: They are wild.
