Driver Killed When Car Hits Power Pole

A Sherman Oaks man was killed when the car he was driving veered into a power pole in Studio City, Los Angeles police said Saturday.
The 47-year-old man, whose identity has not been released pending notification of his next of kin, was driving north on Laurel Canyon Boulevard near Berry Drive when his car hit a power pole, police said.
No other cars were involved in the Friday night accident, police said. The driver died at the scene, they said.
