El Segundo, St. Bernard Resume Action
El Segundo and St. Bernard, the top two baseball teams from the Camino Real League, will resume action in the CIF-Southern Section 2-A playoffs Friday in quarterfinal games at 3:15 p.m.
Camino Real League champion El Segundo (23-5), the No. 2 seed, will meet La Canada (14-8) at El Segundo Recreation Park, while Camino Real runner-up St. Bernard (20-5), the No. 4 seed, plays at San Marino (20-3).
San Marino and La Canada compete in the Rio Hondo League, the only league that has all three of its 2-A playoff entries alive. San Marino placed second and La Canada finished third behind third-seeded Temple City (19-7).
Winners advance to Tuesday’s semifinals. The finals will be played at 10 a.m. June 3 at Dodger Stadium.
