‘Eye on L.A.’ and Its Segment on Chile
How dare anyone show a pleasant Chile? How dare a program show beautiful women, restaurants, beaches, fishermen and peasants working on their own . . . even smiling?
Why didn’t they show the rivers of blood, poverty, militiamen armed to the teeth patroling the streets? The answer is: Simply because such things exist only in the imagination of people who have never visited my country or who have political reasons to slander Chile.
“Eye on L.A.” is a touristic show. Would Rosenberg show Los Angeles’ Main Street downtown, the homeless, gang people and other beauties to invite people to visit here?
