President’s Mother on the Mend After Stroke

GREENWICH, Conn. — The condition of President Bush’s mother improved Wednesday as she responded to treatment for what doctors believe was a slight stroke, Greenwich Hospital officials said. Dorothy Walker Bush, 87, was upgraded to good condition and was expected to be released as early as today or Friday.
