Neither the San Diego Yacht Club nor the Mercury Bay Boating Club will possess the America’s Cup until San Diego’s appeal of a ruling awarding the sailing prize to New Zealand is settled.
The appellate division of the New York Supreme Court ordered San Diego to deliver the Cup into the temporary custody of the New York Yacht Club until results of a June 8 hearing are announced.
