Regarding Scott Ostler’s column, White Athletes--Fact and Fiction:

Fact--The predominantly white Boston Celtics have consistently fielded championship-level basketball teams.

Myth--All great basketball players have been white.

Fact--Whites have dominated the high jump for years.

Myth--Blacks cannot jump high.

Let’s put an end to this ridiculous athletic racism. Today’s athletes deserve better.
