Pic ‘N’ Save Corp. : The Carson-based discount store chain said first-quarter net earnings dipped to $5.4 million from $7 million a year ago. Revenue rose to $94.1 million from $73.9 million. During the latest quarter, sales in Pic ‘N’ Save stores open at least a year increased by 8.7%. The firm said earnings in the quarter were expected to be lower because of the interest costs incurred to repurchase shares in 1988 and other factors.
