Toreros Win Their Conference Finale in Baseball
Dan McAdoo’s one-out single to left field scored Chuck Graham from second base in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the University of San Diego a 7-6 victory over visiting Nevada Reno in the Toreros’ final Western Conference Athletic Conference baseball game Sunday.
The Toreros scored four runs in the eighth inning to take a 6-5 lead, but Nevada Reno tied the score in the ninth.
Jim Keen went three for four with a triple for USD (20-30-1 overall, 5-17 in the conference). Tony Battilega (4-5) was the winner in relief. Nevada Reno is 26-26, 9-11.
