Los Angeles Election
As I stood in the booth punching my ballot, I realized that Soviet voters in their recent election exercised a right not available to me--they prevented the election of uncontested candidates by crossing their names off their ballots. After our shameful turnout at the polls, we should attempt to increase voter participation by establishing a “none of the above” option on our ballots for each elected office.
