Thousand Oaks Pitcher to Attend Northridge

John Bushart, a left-handed pitcher from Thousand Oaks High, has signed a letter of intent to attend Cal State Northridge.

Bushart (6-foot-4, 175 pounds) said that he selected CSUN “for the opportunity to pitch in my first year and because the program is on the rise.”

Bushart is the third high school player--and the first left-handed pitcher--signed this month by Coach Bill Kernen.

“He’s the best senior left-hander in the Valley that I saw,” Kernen said. “He has all the right qualities that we want to build our program around.”
