Middle School Teacher Wins National Honor
WALNUT — Alan Haskvitz, an eighth-grade teacher at Suzanne Middle School, has been honored by the National Council for Social Sciences as having the best social studies program in the country.
Student projects have included rewriting voting instructions that were later adopted by the Los Angeles County registrar-recorder’s office and successfully lobbying for state legislation.
