West Hollywood : 2 Senior Legislators Elected

Community activist Babette Lang has been elected to the California Senior Legislature, an organization of senior citizens that meets once a year in Sacramento to draft bills on behalf of seniors and lobby for their passage.
Lang, who serves on the city’s Rent Stabilization Commission and the Senior Advisory Council, finished first among four candidates to win one of two contested seats for an area that stretches from Beverly Hills to East Los Angeles.
She received 360 votes, with incumbent Joseph Houseman of Monterey Park receiving 250 votes to win the other seat. Incumbent Genevieve Dulaney of Monterey Park received 168 votes, and Elysa Henley of Beverly Hills received 41 votes.
