Mira Mesa Man Killed in Wreck

A Mira Mesa man was killed Tuesday when his car went out of control and smashed into a parked tractor-trailer rig, authorities said.
Henry Joseph Gomez, 29, was westbound about 70 m.p.h. in the 8600 block of Miramar Road when his car struck the rear of an auto ahead of him, a police spokesman said. Gomez’s car then veered and struck the parked truck, killing Gomez, the spokesman said.
Gomez was manager of the Furnishings 2000 store, a coroner’s spokesman said.
