The Preps : Mission Viejo’s Ekdahl Will Attend Pepperdine
Shortstop Eric Ekdahl of Mission Viejo High School has made an oral commitment to attend Pepperdine University, according to his coach, Ron Drake.
Ekdahl batted .312 as a junior. He was also the state’s leading scorer in football last fall, scoring 25 touchdowns and kicking seven field goals and 41 extra points for 212 points.
Ekdahl visited UCLA, Loyola Marymount and Pepperdine. The first day a prep baseball player can sign a national letter of intent is April 12.
