THE PREPS : Sites for Finals Depend on Tonight’s Winner
The Southern Section is considering moving the 5-A and 3-A boys’ basketball championship games to the Bren Center on Wednesday, according to Dean Crowley, Southern Section associate commissioner of athletics.
The move hinges on tonight’s 5-A semifinal between Irvine and Pasadena.
At present, the games are scheduled for the Los Angeles Sports Area March 4, but if Irvine defeats Pasadena tonight, then all four finalists would be Orange County teams.
The 5-A championship game is between Capistrano Valley and the winner of Irvine/Pasadena. The 3-A final is between Corona del Mar and Trabuco Hills.
