Drexel Scores a Point: Drexel Burnham Lambert said an administrative judge dismissed a key part of a Commodity Futures Trading Commission complaint that charged Drexel with trying to help a customer boost orange juice futures prices. The decision by CFTC Administrative Law Judge William Spruill can be appealed to the entire commission. The complaint charged Drexel with helping a customer in a bid to push up the price of the September, 1984, frozen concentrated orange juice futures contract, which is traded on the New York Cotton Exchange. Spruill ruled that no manipulation had occurred.
