United Broadcasting Acquired: TA Communications Partners has acquired United Broadcasting Co., a Bethesda, Md., company that owns Los Angeles Spanish-language radio station KALI-AM and eight other broadcast properties, for $123 million in cash. Representatives of TA Communications, a Boston venture capital firm that already owned 30% of United, could not be reached for comment. KALI broadcasts a mix of Latin pop music.
