The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Commission announced that March 1 is the deadline for the public to alert it to errors in the name panels of the memorial in Capitol Park in Sacramento. Known errors so far have included the omission of several individuals’ names, the misspelling of a city name, Yorba Linda, and the omission of four cities: Big Bear Lake, Calistoga, Huntington Park and Woodland. Anyone unable to get to Sacramento to see the memorial may contact the commission at (916) 327-0077. The address is P.O. Box 3040, Sacramento, 95812. The state’s Democrats last weekend raised $8,700, at their convention and have challenged the Republicans to raise at least as much.
