Repairs for Ship That Ran Aground to Cost $1 Million

MAYPORT NAVAL STATION, Fla. — The Navy will pay $1 million to repair the Spruance, a destroyer that ran aground on a coral reef in the Bahamas last month, officials said. Repairs to the ship’s propellers and mast began this week at a shipyard in Pascagoula, Miss., and should be completed this month.
