Fresh Off Rare Victory, CSLA Visits Northridge
Cal State Los Angeles, buoyed by its first conference victory since 1986, plays Cal State Northridge in a California Collegiate Athletic Assn. basketball game tonight at 8 in the CSUN gym.
The Golden Eagles had lost 22 consecutive CCAA games before defeating Cal Poly Pomona, 79-67, on Saturday at Pomona.
Northridge finished the first half of its conference season with a 3-4 record, 12-8 overall. The Matadors play three home games this week and need a sweep to climb back into the thick of the race for a berth in the CCAA’s four-team post-season playoff tournament.
Cal State L. A. is 1-6 in the CCAA, 3-17 overall.
