Negative Story Gets Too Much Attention
For a major newspaper that at one time so thoroughly covered high school sports and has since all but forsaken this level, I find it rather amazing that more than 50% of the text on Page 7 of the Jan. 27 issue was allocated toward a negative incident (a prep coach’s suspension). Why not that much coverage for the positive?
