Ken Norman of the Los Angeles Clippers was fined $2,500 and Portland’s Jerome Kersey was suspended for one game and fined $3,500, the National Basketball Assn. announced today.
The penalties were levied for an altercation during Wednesday night’s game between the Trail Blazers and Clippers at Los Angeles.
Kersey received the suspension and higher fine because he threw the only punch of the incident, said Rod Thorn, NBA vice president of operations.
The suspension will prevent Kersey from playing in tonight’s game against the Lakers at Los Angeles.
