“This is just a real big win for us,” said Steve deLaveaga, who led Cal Lutheran with 32 points and 7 rebounds. “I am very relieved.”
DeLaveaga’s 3-point basket put the Kingsmen ahead, 86-85, with 2:56 left. Miraglia, who had 18 points, scored Cal Lutheran’s last 4 points to complete a 42-37 second-half rally for the Kingsmen (7-12, 1-4 in conference play).
Mike Demeter added 14 points for the Kingsmen, who will play 3 road games before returning home Feb. 7 to play host to Westmont.
The Crusaders dropped to 5-13, 3-2.
