Artist Salvador Dali failed to respond to treatment and remained in very critical condition as workers began building his tomb in Figueras, Spain, the town where the surrealist painter was born, authorities said. The 84-year-old Dali is suffering from heart and respiratory problems and pneumonia, Dr. Carles Ponsati, head of Figueras Hospital and Dali’s chief physician, said. He said Dali’s illness is terminal.
