Former Rolling Hills Estates Councilman Jerome Belsky will be honored at a dinner Wednesday at Los Verdes Country Club, 7000 W. Los Verdes Drive, Rancho Palos Verdes.
After 12 years on the council, Belsky, 70, was forced from office in a bitter recall election in November.
“This is being organized by friends of Jerry’s who would like to show him recognition,” said Priscilla Regur, dinner organizer. The cost is $25 per person. People who wish to attend may call Regur at 375-4477.
Three candidates--William Ailor, Jacqueline McGuire and Robert Schachter--are running in a special election March 21 to fill the remainder of Belsky’s term, which ends in November.
