Stand Showed Courage

Thank you for featuring Great American Vice President Rod Tompkins’ letter urging a “stiff prison sentence” for convicted felon Dierdorff of Sun Savings & Loan.
Mr. Tompkins’ argument for appropriate sentencing for Dierdorff is convincing. No less convincing is his argument against pleas for leniency from local movers and shakers.
I have no doubt Mr. Tompkins’ action reflects a good deal of the kind of quiet courage needed to take an unpopular stand (within his financial community). He says he’ll simply tell detractors to “just read the letter.”
