From Times services
WASHINGTON — In a bid to signal that he will run an open Administration, President-elect Bush plans to mark his first full day on the job by leading a tour of the White House for whoever shows up at his front door.
“It’s a way of saying, ‘I represent all of you and this is your house,’ ” transition spokeswoman Alixe Glen said today. Glen said Bush will conduct the group on a first-come, first-served basis when the doors open for the regularly scheduled Saturday morning tour of the White House’s public rooms Jan. 21.
