Ventura Freeway Ramps to Close
Several Ventura Freeway on- and off-ramps will be closed this weekend for repairs, according to the California Department of Transportation.
From 9 p.m. Friday to 5:30 a.m. Monday, Caltrans will close the Winnetka Avenue eastbound off-ramp and westbound on-ramp, Canoga Avenue westbound off-ramp and eastbound on-ramp, and the Topanga Canyon Boulevard westbound on-ramp at Burbank Boulevard. The far right lanes of Winnetka and Canoga avenues and Topanga Canyon Boulevard near the ramps will also be closed.
Caltrans will pave, paint road stripes and replace guardrails on the ramps.
The work is part of the ongoing Ventura Improvement Project, to expand and repair the Ventura Freeway from Calabasas to the Hollywood Freeway. Various ramps between Tampa Avenue and Valley Circle Boulevard will be closed during the next several weekends.
Caltrans’ 24-hour toll-free hotline, 1-800-CALL VIP, has updated recorded information on ramp and road closures.
