Banquet to Honor Valley Baseball Players

Four Valley-area baseball players and a coach will be honored at the Cal State Northridge Pinnacle of Success baseball awards dinner Feb. 5 at the Warner Center Marriott.
Joel Wolfe, who played at Chatsworth High and is now at UCLA, will be honored as high school player of the year.
Other honorees include: Jeff Flesher, the Western State Conference Player of the Year last season at Canyons; Lenn Gilmore, a former Cal State Northridge outfielder who is playing in the Cleveland Indians organization; Andres Mota of La Crescenta, an outfielder in the Houston Astros organization; Chatsworth High Coach Bob Lofrano and catcher Rick Dempsey of the Dodgers.
The dinner is $100 a plate and black tie is optional.
