Downey : Reward Fund Offered for Clues in Slaying
Relatives of Carla Neely, the 26-year-old Downey woman who was found strangled in her pickup truck in November, have established a reward fund for anyone assisting in the arrest of the killer of the mother of two.
The Carla Suzanne Neely Reward Fund was opened by Neely’s aunt at Community Bank at Stonewood Shopping Center on Firestone Boulevard. If the reward money is not used within a year it will be transferred to a trust account for Neely’s children if those who contribute write “do not return” on their checks.
Neely’s co-workers at American Auto Service in Irvine have also opened a trust fund for her children at Home Savings Bank of America, 8450 Firestone Blvd.
Police are still searching for clues in the young woman’s murder and are asking anyone with information to contact Detectives Pete Novakoff or Pat Langenhovel at 904-2330.
