The Preps : Saddleback Stays Atop Poll for Second Week in a Row

Saddleback High School is the top-ranked team in the Orange County Sportswriters’ Assn. prep basketball poll for the second consecutive week.
Mater Dei continues as the second-ranked team, its only losses against Saddleback in the championship games of the Newport-Mesa and Orange Holiday tournaments.
Saddleback figures to be tested Wednesday against eighth-ranked Estancia in its Sea View League opener.
Sixteen teams received votes this week with South Coast League members Irvine (third) and Capistrano Valley (fifth) in the Top 10, and two other South Coast teams, El Toro and Dana Hills, also receiving votes.
