CS Long Beach, Utah State to Meet

Cal State Long Beach and Utah State, both with 2-1 records in Big West Conference play, meet tonight in a men’s basketball game in the 49ers’ university gym.
Long Beach (5-7 overall), which has won 3 of its last 4 games, is led in scoring by guard Darrell Faulkner, who is averaging 12.9 points a game.
Utah State is 4-8 overall despite having four key players--Dan Conway, Reid Newey, Greg Housekeeper and Gilbert Peete--back from last season’s Big West tournament champion team.
