Torrey Pines 59, Morse 56--Host Torrey Pines (15-1) was almost caught napping by fired-up Morse team but held on to win. Torrey Pines center Kevin Flanagan got in early foul trouble, picking up two in the first quarter and another in the second. Courtie Miller led Torrey Pines with 24 points; Flanagan had 10. Torrey Pines, which never trailed after Kyle Armstrong hit a 3-pointer with 4:58 in the first quarter, converted just 8 of 19 free throws in the fourth. Morse (4-8) was led by Larry Mothershead, who scored 24 points.
