Local News in Brief : Buena Park : Ontario Man Held in Robbery, Slaying
An Ontario man was arrested Friday in the Nov. 1 robbery and killing of a Buena Park convenience store clerk, police said.
Mickey Anthony Gaeta, 30, was arrested by Buena Park police at 6:30 a.m. near his apartment as he walked to work, authorities said, in connection with the murder of Mahmoud A. Rabie, 38. Rabie was fatally shot during an armed robbery at a Circle A store in the 7900 block of Valley View Street.
Police said Gaeta had been a suspect but declined to elaborate on how he was linked to the shooting.
A customer in the store at the time of the shooting escaped injury and was able to give authorities a rough description of the suspect, police said.
Gaeta was being held in County Jail without bail pending an arraignment next week, police said.
