Local News in Brief : Garden Grove : Pedestrian Struck by Automobile, Killed
An unidentified pedestrian who stepped off a center divider onto busy Harbor Boulevard was struck and killed by a passing car, police said Friday.
The man, in his mid-20s, was crossing in the middle of the street just south of Garden Grove Boulevard at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday when he was hit by a northbound vehicle in the left lane, Garden Grove Police Sgt. Dan Lyons said.
The victim was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he later died of his injuries, Lyons said.
The driver was not cited, Lyons said. An investigation is continuing.
