Toros Nip Humboldt
Khyra Anderson, Devon Akita and Julie Scott scored 12 points each Wednesday night as the Cal State Dominguez Hills women’s basketball team came from behind to defeat visiting Humboldt State, 64-63, in a non-conference game before only 101 spectators.
Connie McKenney’s 12-foot jumper from the corner with 1:45 remaining put Dominguez Hills in front to stay, 62-61.
Brigitte Frazier had 12 rebounds for Dominguez Hills. Scott added 11 and Anderson 10. The victory snapped a three-game losing streak for the Lady Toros (3-7).
