FIGUERAS, Spain — Surrealist artist Salvador Dali was in stable condition today after being rushed to a hospital suffering from complications from a small intestinal lesion, doctors said.
In a morning statement, a five-doctor team said the 84-year-old artist was taken from his Galatea Tower mansion to Figueras Hospital late Thursday after experiencing nausea and vomiting a small amount of blood. Dali was recently hospitalized for treatment of pneumonia complicated by heart problems that left him in critical condition for several days.
