Struggling Lazers and Sockers Play Tonight at Forum
The Lazers, after splitting 4 road games, have returned to the Forum where they will play the defending champion San Diego Sockers tonight at 7:30.
Both Major Indoor Soccer League teams are struggling. The Lazers (5-7) have lost 6 of their last 8 and are in fifth place. The Sockers (4-7) are in sixth.
The Lazers have done well against the Sockers, however, beating them twice at the start of the season.
Lazer goalkeeper Jim Gorsek has allowed just 3 goals against his former teammates. Gorsek, who has won his last 2 starts, leads the MISL with a 3.07 goals-against average.
The Lazers are led in scoring by forward Michael Collins, who has 6 goals and 9 assists.
Brian Quinn leads the Sockers with 6 goals and 7 assists.
