Light snow fell in the Great Lakes region, where residents were digging out from an earlier taste of wintry weather. Cold winds blowing west over the warm waters of the Great Lakes spread 3 inches of snow in Syracuse, N.Y., the National Weather Service said. The Cleveland area received 5 inches of snow, on top of 10 inches that fell earlier in Madison Township. Three people wewre killed on snow-covered roads in Ohio, police said.
