“Gary Collins’ Hour Magazine” is about to interview its last celebrity guest and/or try out its last gourmet recipe. The 9-year-old daytime talk show will be seen no more following its final broadcast on Jan. 20, Group W Productions announced Friday. “The show has lasted longer than the great majority of syndicated programs,” said Derk Zimmerman, president of Group W Productions, in a statement explaining his company’s decision to pull the plug on the show. “However, changing market conditions and the desire on the part of stations for new program forms have resulted in our decision to reallocate our resources.” “Hour Magazine,” which is seen on 104 stations across the country, airs locally weekdays at noon on KTTV Channel 11.
