Camarillo 71, McClintock 67--Camarillo jumped to a 47-17 halftime lead and improved to 3-0 with a first-round win in the Page Tournament in Tempe, Ariz.
David Harbour led the Scorpions with 22 points and 7 assists. Teammate Jeff Castellanos scored 8 points and had 8 assists. Lloyd Johnson scored 7 points and pulled down 10 rebounds.
Camarillo plays defending tournament champion Casa Grande today.
Montclair Prep 67, Village Christian 60--Senior swingman Craig Handschu made 13 of 24 shots and scored a game-high 31 points to lead the Mounties (6-4) to a first-round win in the Bel-Air Prep tournament.
Montclair Prep outscored Village Christian, 21-14, in the fourth quarter.
Whittier Christian 50, Canyon 48--Whittier Christian’s Matt Riehm made both ends of a 1-and-1 with with 6 seconds left to eliminate Canyon (2-5) in a second-round consolation game of the El Dorado tournament.
Jon Civita had 9 points and 12 rebounds for Canyon.
L.A. Baptist 47, Moorpark 28--Sophomore guard Glenn Dodson had a team-high 13 points off the bench to lead L. A. Baptist (6-1) in the first-round of the Fillmore tournament.
Newbridge 65, Einstein 40--Senior point guard Danny Djavaheri made 9 3-point baskets and scored a game-high 32 points for Einstein (3-3) in a nonleague loss at Newbridge (5-1).
GIRLS
Thousand Oaks 52, Louisville 28--Amy Chandler, Shani Smyth and Michelle Palmisano scored 18, 15 and 10 points, respectively for the Lancers (6-1).
Mary Hudson scored 13 and Colleen Farrell added 10 for the Royals, who were held to 4 points in the first quarter.
