15-Day Wait on Handgun Sales in Effect in Cincinnati

CINCINNATI —  A city ordinance requiring handgun purchasers to wait 15 days before picking up their weapons goes into effect today. The law requires the wait between the sale and receipt of a handgun to allow police time to check whether the prospective buyer has a criminal record or is mentally incompetent.
