Nolan Ryan, the top strikeout pitcher in history, has been offered a 1-year contract for more than $1 million by the Texas Rangers, General Manager Tom Grieve said Thursday.
The Angels have offered Ryan, a free agent, a $1.5-million contract. Moss last week rejected that offer, but talks are continuing. The Houston Astros, Ryan’s team since 1980, have offered a 1-year contract with a base salary of $1.2 million.
