Football players and band members at Arizona State and Arizona have been exposed to measles and are being offered free immunization, health officials said.
Linebacker Drew Metcalf of Arizona State was hospitalized Thanksgiving Day with measles but has since been released.
Arizona State played Arizona Saturday and the Wildcat players might have been exposed.
Health officials say it’s likely that Metcalf was exposed when Arizona State played USC Nov. 12 in Tempe. Four days later, USC quarterback Rodney Peete was diagnosed as having measles and his teammates were inoculated against the disease.
