Killer, 3 Others in Jailbreak

An accused killer and three other men who escaped from a rooftop Santa Ana jail by cutting their way through a chain link fence and then lowering themselves with a sheet remained at large today and police warned that they could be armed and dangerous.
More than 12 hours after the daring escape from the downtown County Jail, Orange County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Lt. Richard Olson said the four men had eluded a massive manhunt that involved dozens of police officers and dogs. There were few clues as to their whereabouts. Olson declined to discuss the apparent breakdown in jail security that allowed the men to escape.
