Franklin 31, Verdugo Hills 7--Franklin quarterback Santiago Alvarez threw 3 touchdown passes to lead the Panthers (8-0, 6-0) at Poly High.
Panther tailback Lamont Lovett rushed for 192 yards in 31 carries. Verdugo Hills (3-5, 3-3) scored on a second-quarter, 48-yard touchdown pass from Luis Rodriquez to running back Paul Koons.
Franklin outgained Verdugo Hills, 409 yards to 165.
