Teamsters Union Endorses Bush
It boggles the mind to think that a union once headed by someone with the stature of Dan Tobin (union president from 1907-1952) could be making a practice of endorsing presidential candidates who are representative of that segment of our society that is indifferent to or even hostile to anything concerning the welfare of working men and women.
Poor Dan Tobin must be turning over in his grave.
Today’s leaders of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters are unworthy successors to Tobin’s legacy, to say the least.
For many years I have included my honorable withdrawal card from my old Chicago Teamsters local among my sentimental mementos.
I have just tossed it into the trash bin.
